Alberta Clipper to push across the Prairies


An Alberta Clipper will push across the Prairies on Monday and Monday night. The low will bring snow, freezing rain, and strong winds.


Beginning tonight places such as Grande Prairie and Edmonton will see freezing rain. That area of freezing rain will move eastward reaching Lloydminster on Monday.


Snowfall amounts of 15 cm is expected across central Alberta and winds will gust to 70 km/h. Winds will gust to 90 km/h across southern sections of Alberta.


Snowfall amounts will be minimal across southern Alberta and Saskatchewan.


The low will move into Saskatchewan and southern Manitoba on Monday night and Tuesday.


Heavy snow is possible over southern Manitoba. Snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm is possible combined with wind gusts to 70 km/h.
