Alert Ready System test to take place this week

On Wednesday there will be a test of the Alert Ready System across most of Canada.

There will be no test conducted in Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

Anyone who has a compatible device will receive the alert.

The test will take place between 9:55 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. depending on your location. The schedule can be found here.

The system is responsible for alerts ranging from fires to natural disasters to civil and national security threats.
