Another Heat Event on the Horizon for Northern Ontario

Just as Ontario recuperates from one heat event, another one is on the way beginning on Sunday.

Heat is expected to once again build across the northwestern areas of the province on Sunday and continue through Tuesday, eventually enveloping the northern half of the province.

Daytime high temperatures are expected to range between 29 and 34 degrees. Overnight low temperatures will only fall to about 17 to 20 degrees. Daytime humidex values will be in the mid to high thirties.

For northeastern Ontario, there is some good news. While daytime high temperatures will be near 30, overnight lows will fall well below heat warning criteria.
