Astronauts on the International Space Station began a series of spacewalks on Friday to fix a cosmic ray detector.

Two astronauts, Andrew Morgan and Luca Parmitano went out on Friday with an array of tools.

They worked on the piece of equipment for two hours.

It will take several more spacewalks to complete the repairs.
