Astronomers baffled as to what a strange, blinking object might be

Astronomers are baffled as to what a strange, blinking object about 4,000 light-years away from Earth might be.

Whatever it is, releases a burst of energy three times an hour.

When the object releases energy, it is one of the brightest objects in the night sky. There are theories that the object could be a collapsed star or a white dwarf with a powerful magnetic field.

The unknown object is just one of many recent questions about newly discovered things in the galaxy.
