Astronomy highlights this month features a solar eclipse


This month there is a lot to see in the night sky beginning with Venus as the bright morning star in the eastern sky on October 8 and 9.


On October 14 there will be a solar eclipse. It will be visible in parts of Canada, the United States, Mexico, and many countries in South and Central America. It will only be partially visible in Canada.


Venus will be in the Leo constellation all this month.


On October 28, the Moon will be in Earth's shadow resulting in a one percent eclipse that will be slightly visible in Asia.


The Moon and Jupiter meet on October 28.
