Atlantic System Showing Signs of Organization

There is an area of low-pressure well west-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands that is an area of showers and thunderstorms. The low continues to show signs of organization.

Environmental conditions are expected to be somewhat conducive for additional development to occur.

Conditions are forecast to become less conducive for development by the end of the week.

By about Thursday, the system could become a tropical storm. The next named storm will be Josephine.
