Chilly morning in Atlantic Canada


It was a chilly morning across Atlantic Canada with morning lows near the freezing mark.


Deer Lake, NL got down to -3.6. Debert, NS got down to -3.0, Maple Pines, Prince Edward Island hit -3.5. The coldest spot in the region was Edmundston, NB hit -6.1.


Frost advisories were in effect for most Maritimes last night and are in effect once again tonight.


Environment and Climate Change Canada issue frost advisories during the growing season when widespread frost formation is expected over an extensive area when surface temperatures are expected to fall near freezing in the overnight period.
