Cold air to move into Atlantic Canada mid-week

Cool arctic air will arrive across the Maritimes on Tuesday and in Newfoundland on Wednesday. In some cases, this will be the coldest air of the season.

Overnight lows across New Brunswick could reach as low as minus 30 and temperatures in the minus teens are expected across Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland.

High temperatures will likely remain between minus 5 and minus 10. With the wind chill it will feel even colder.

Temperatures will begin to moderate on Friday, just in time for the next weather system to move through.
