Cold Weather Continues Grip on Western Canada


Current Conditions in Winnipeg at 8:00 am

Cold weather continues across the western half of Canada. Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan continue to break cold temperature records.


Across the three Prairie provinces and northern Ontario, wind chill between minus 40 and minus 50 will continue for the next several days. Areas of British Columbia under the extreme cold warning can see wind chill values between minus 35 and minus 45.


There are also Arctic outflow warnings in effect with wind chill values ranging from minus 10 to minus 20 this morning.


A warm-up is expected by mid next week.
