Several areas were placed under a tornado warning.

On Tuesday morning several tornado warnings were issued in error across Southern Ontario by Environment and Climate Change Canada.

The alert seemed to be official

AT 8:38 A.M. EDT, ENVIRONMENT CANADA METEOROLOGISTS ARE TRACKING A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM THAT IS POSSIBLY PRODUCING A TORNADO. DAMAGING WINDS, LARGE HAIL AND LOCALLY INTENSE RAINFALL ARE ALSO POSSIBLE.

The time was updated as similar alerts were issued for southern Ontario. There was no tornado threat and a later update indicated that the warnings were issued in error

On Monday several frost advisories were issued for several locations across Canada only to be discontinued seconds later. Those were also issued in error.

We reached out to Environment and Climate Change Canada and we have not yet received a response.

Thunderstorms are possible tonight and into tomorrow but there are no alerts in effect at this time.
