Damage in Quebec After Thunderstorms Roll Through
On Monday there were thunderstorms in parts of southern Quebec that caused some damage.
Along the Ottawa Valley, including Plaisance and Buckingham, strong winds from the thunderstorms produced broken branches, broken trees and pulled off asphalt shingles.
In the Lower St. Lawrence, thunderstorms produced small hail. Areas such as Saint-Epiphane, Cacouna, Saint-Francois-Xavier-de-Viger and Saint-Pierre-Lamy all saw hail.
Chicoutimi, Saint-Fulgence, La Baie and Chute-des-Passes have also received small hail.
In addition, when thunderstorms moved over Isle-aux-Grues, gusts to 80 kilometres per hour were observed.
