Temperatures are expected to reach heatwave status for many areas tomorrow, temperatures of 32 degrees and higher, many parts of the Interior will see temperatures in the 35 to 40*C

A heatwave is 3 or more consecutive days of 32 degrees or greater, The Heat is thanks to a very strong ridge of High pressure over Washington state and is pumping up hot air from a South West flow from the US Desert.

This will allow for parts of the Canadian desert to see temperatures through Friday into the mid and upper 30's. Temperatures will begin to go back to normal or slightly below normal by the weekend as a trough of low pressure works across the province bringing cooler temperatures and some rainfall.

However, temperatures are expected to rise again by early next week back into the low and mid 30's for the Interior.
