Disaster Declaration Issued for 6 Texas Counties
U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a disaster declaration for six Texas counties.
Over 800 homes were destroyed or damaged after Imelda inundated the area with heavy rain.
Harris, Chambers, Jefferson, Liberty, Montgomery, and Orange counties are covered by the declaration.
Five people died from the storm.
The National Weather Service said that it was one of the wettest tropical cyclones in U.S. history.
