Earthquake in Southwestern Quebec

Residents in southwestern Quebec may have gotten a rude awaking this morning.


There was an earthquake at 5:38 am in the Salaberry-de-Valleyfield region of Quebec.


The 3.7 magnitude earthquake was lightly felt in Rigaud, Saint Bruno, Vaudreuil, and Montreal.


There are no reports of damage, and none would be expected.


The earthquake was at a depth of 5 kilometres.
