Earthquake off Coast of BC


At about 11:00 am on Saturday morning there was a 4.6-magnitude earthquake off Haida Gwaii in British Columbia.


It was centred 54 km south of the Village of Queen Charlotte.


The earthquake did not cause any damage and no tsunami was expected.


British Columbia is prone to earthquakes.


The area has experienced four earthquakes measuring 6 or greater since 2004.
