Earthquake rattles BC south coast

There was a 3.6 magnitude earthquake this morning near Vancouver Island.


The earthquake was reported to be centred 29 km south-southwest of Ladner at a depth of 17.3 km. Ladner is a part of the City of Delta, British Columbia, and a suburb of Vancouver.


There were widespread reports of the earthquake being felt in British Columbia and Washington state.


No damage was reported and none would be expected.


British Columbia is frequented by earthquakes.
