Extensive flooding in New York City

An area of low pressure just south of Long Island, New York, is producing areas of heavy rain over parts of northeastern New Jersey, extreme southeastern New York State/Long Island, and Connecticut.

The associated heavy rain will create numerous areas of flash flooding. Flooding has occurred in New York City.

Streams may flood, potentially affecting larger rivers.
