Extreme Cold Weather Alert Issued for Toronto
It was very cold in Toronto on Tuesday night.
The chief medical officer has issued the first extreme cold weather alert of the season for the city.
Overnight lows were expected to drop into the minus mid-teens.
From November to April, the Out of the Cold (OOTC) program provides overnight sleeping spaces as well as meals delivered by faith-based groups across the City of Toronto and coordinated by Dixon Hall for those who are homeless.
When extreme cold weather alerts are issued, residents should limit their outdoor exposure.
