Extreme heat to build across northwestern Ontario

Parts of northern Ontario will see a long-duration heat event beginning on Sunday and possibly lingering through Friday.

On Sunday, far northwestern Ontario will see heat building with temperatures into the high 20s. On Monday the heat spreads into most of northwestern Ontario.

Daytime highs will be in the high 20s and low 30s. There will be little relief in the overnight hours with temperatures only falling into the high teens.
