February Astronomy Highlights

This month in the night sky we can see several planets and a treat at the end of the month.

On February 3rd our Moon will meet Pollux, the brightest star in the Gemini constellation. Mars will continue to be visible but dimmer than it has been recently. It can still be viewed above Taurus' orange star.

From February 7th to February 28th Jupiter will move closers to moves closer to Venus.

By February 27th the Crescent Moon meets Mars while Venus and Jupiter come closer together. Venus and Jupiter form a conjunction on February 28th in the evening sky on the western horizon.
