Federal Government to Announce Ban on Single-Use Plastics

The Federal Government is expected to announce today a ban on single-use plastics.

As early as 2021 Canada is expected to ban plastic bags, drink stirrers, plates, cutlery, and plastic straws, along with other plastics.

The list will be similar to the European Union.

The announcement will be part of a larger announcement regarding plastic pollution.
