Firefighters Battling Out of Control Wildfire in Alberta


Over 200 firefighters, aided by five air tankers and 18 helicopters are fighting an out of control wildfire in Alberta’s Peace Region.


The fire is located 10 kilometres northwest of Manning, Alberta.


Dry conditions and strong winds are only helping the wildfire spread.


Right now it is estimated to be more than 23,000 hectares in size.


The wildfire is creating a plume of smoke Clearly visible on satellite. Two smaller fires northeast of Slave Lake are also creating smoke plumes visible on satellite.
