First measurable snowfall of the season expected across Southern Alberta
Across the southern half of Alberta, the first measurable snowfall of the season is expected beginning tonight.
Tonight, snow will develop over western areas and drift eastward on Monday.
Snowfall amounts will vary quite a bit across the southern half of the province due to elevation and warm ground temperatures. Central areas of the province will see 3 to 5 cm of snow by Tuesday morning.
Near the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains and in the Banff and Jasper Parks 5 to 15 cm is expected.
Along the international border, rain is expected at first but will transition to snow by Tuesday night.
