There is flooding in several areas of Ontario. Flooding is most severe in central Ontario and cottage country regions.

A provincial flood warning remains in effect in parts of central Ontario, including areas around Lake Simcoe and nearby watersheds.

In the Greater Toronto Area, conditions have improved slightly, but authorities say rivers are still running high and dangerous, with more rain expected.

There are road closures from Elliot Lake North Bay due to flooding.

The Manitoulin Health Centre, Mindemoya Hospital site is closed due to flood-related infrastructure issues.

Officials say snowmelt combined with rain and warmer temperatures is pushing water levels higher across rivers, lakes and streams.

Local residents should avoid rivers, streams, and nearby trails and keep children and pets away from fast moving water and slippery banks.
