Flooding rain and strong winds expected for coastal British Columbia

A low will bring heavy rain and strong winds to the coast of British Columbia.

By Tuesday morning rainfall amounts of 75 to 125 mm are expected. Over northwestern Vancouver Island, higher amounts are possible.

Flooding, water pooling, high river and creek levels, and landslides are possible.

Accompanying this system will be strong-severe southerly winds all along the coast. Sunday and Monday, winds along the north coast and Haida Gwaii could gust to 90 km/h.

There will be some snowfall at higher elevations.
