Flooding Rain Expected in Eastern NL #nlwx

Rainfall amounts between 50 and 100 mm is possible over easter Newfoundland Thursday night through Saturday morning.

Rain will begin Thursday afternoon along the west coast and spread to the remainder of the Island overnight on Thursday. The heaviest rain is expected on Friday and Friday night.

An area of low pressure will draw in tropical moistures and stall over eastern Newfoundland.

At the same time, a pair of lows over Greenland will bring rain and strong winds to parts of Labrador.

• St. John's 40-45 mm

• Argentia 40-70 mm

• Marystown 35-50 mm

• Clarenville 50-70 mm

• Gander 20-30 mm
