A very strong area of low pressure will bring severe weather to Ontario beginning on Saturday.
Across southern Ontario, very heavy rain is expected. Over extreme southwestern Ontario, 50 to 75 mm of rain is possible. For areas in the GTA, 30 to 50 mm is expected.
There may also be an extended period of freezing rain.
Snow is expected over northeastern, central, and eastern Ontario. Some areas could pick up as much as 20 cm of snow by Sunday evening.
Ice pellets are possible in central and eastern areas.
