The Tampa Police Department has stated that there are several reports of damage.

Power outages are rising with over 1.5 million customers currently without power across Florida according to poweroutage.us.

Tampa Bay Mayor Jane Castor said in an address that, "we have yet to feel the direct effects of Hurricane Ian."
