Flu activity remains stable

Most indicators of influenza activity show that activity is similar, or decreased slightly, compared to the previous week. Indicators are within or below expected levels typical of this time of year.

Areas seeing elevated levels of influenza are Atlantic Canada, Ontario, and British Columbia.

There were a total of 3,859 laboratory detections from January 14 to January 20. To date this season, the majority of confirmed cases were influenza A.
