Freezing drizzle across Northern Ontario

There is a risk for an extended period of freezing drizzle across a large swath of northern Ontario today.

Temperatures will climb above freezing across northeastern Ontario and for regions north of Superior which will have any freezing drizzle change over to drizzle this morning.

Across northwestern Ontario, temperatures are expected to remain at or just below the freezing mark which will lead to a continued risk of freezing drizzle through Thursday night.

Light ice accretion is possible and surfaces such as roadways and sidewalks could be icy.

There is a freezing drizzle advisory for:

  • Atikokan - Upsala - Quetico

  • Dryden - Ignace

  • Fort Frances - Rainy Lake

  • Geraldton - Manitouwadge - Hornepayne

  • Kenora - Nestor Falls

  • Lake Nipigon - Wabakimi

  • Red Lake - Ear Falls

  • Sioux Lookout - Savant Lake
