Gusty winds for parts of southern and northern Ontario

Strong northerly winds are expected across parts of Ontario on Friday, with gusts reaching up to 80 km/h in some areas.

In portions of southern Ontario near Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, wind gusts of up to 80 km/h are forecast. The strong winds could break tree branches, down trees and toss loose objects. Power outages are also possible.

The risk of broken branches is increased because many trees still have their leaves.

Other parts of southern and northern Ontario can expect wind gusts of up to 70 km/h on Friday. Isolated tree branch damage and possible power outages are forecast in these areas.
