Heat event continues across southern British Columbia

Hot weather will persist today across southern British Columbia thanks to a ridge of high pressure over the region.

Across South Coast and parts of Vancouver Island, temperatures will be in the high 20's to low 30's with overnight lows in the low to mid teens early this week.

Temperatures will cool on Tuesday.

For the southwestern interior of BC and the western parts of the Kootenay District, the hot weather will continue through to mid-week. Daytime high temperatures are expected to be in the mid to upper-30's and overnight lows in the mid-teens are expected.

Temperatures will gradually cool later this week.
