Hot and humid conditions are expected to continue across parts of southwestern Ontario on Tuesday, with the highest temperatures forecast in the extreme southwestern portion of the province.
An ongoing heat event is expected to bring daytime highs of 30 to 32 C to extreme southwestern Ontario, with overnight lows of 20 to 22 C. Humidex values are expected to reach the mid to upper 30s.
The conditions are expected to increase the risk of heat-related illness, including possible heat stroke.
Parts of southwestern Ontario could also see continued hot and humid conditions Tuesday, with highs of 28 to 30 C and humidex values in the mid-30s.
People are advised to take precautions during the heat, particularly those at greater risk of heat-related illness. Staying hydrated, limiting strenuous activity and spending time in a cool or air-conditioned location can help reduce the risk.
