Heat lingers across Southern Ontario

It will be another day of heat across southern Ontario.

Daytime highs will approach 30 degrees, with overnight lows remaining near 16 degrees across southern Ontario.

It will be somewhat warmer in portions of extreme southwestern Ontario, with highs near 31 degrees and overnight lows remaining near 21 degrees.

The risk of heat-related illness, including possible heat stroke, is high.

The heat will linger through the weekend for most areas.

Thunderstorms are also expected across the region today.
