While eastern Canada contends with unseasonably cool weather, it's the opposite across western areas of the country.
Across the Prairie provinces, temperatures are well into the 20s.
There is a heat warning in effect for the Lac La Biche and R.M. of Wood Buffalo region of Alberta. Temperatures in these areas are expected to climb to near 30 degrees today and Monday, and overnight lows near 16 degrees are expected.
Temperatures will be cooler on Tuesday.
Monitor for symptoms of heat stroke or heat exhaustion, such as high body temperature, lack of sweat, confusion, fainting, and unconsciousness.
