Heat warnings issued for parts of Alberta and Saskatchewan

Heat warnings have been issued for regions along the Alberta/Saskatchewan border.

An upper ridge located over the central Prairies will bring hot weather to the region today.

For the area, today's highs will reach about 30 to 32 degrees. Overnight lows will only drop to about 15 degrees.

The heat will abate on Wednesday as a cold front moves through but will return this weekend for some parts of Alberta and Saskatchewan. As the cold front pushes through, there could be severe thunderstorms.
