Heavy rain and strong wind across northwestern Ontario

A cold front will sweep across northwestern and far northwestern Ontario today and will bring rain and wind to the region.

Rain will start this morning and continue into Thursday. Rainfall amounts of 50 mm are possible for areas north of Lake Superior as well as portions of northwestern, far northwestern, far northeastern, and northeastern Ontario.

Strong winds are expected to develop on Wednesday associated with an intensifying low-pressure system with gusts to 80 km/h possible.
