Heavy Rain and Strong Wind Expected in Atlantic Canada



The low that has been bringing rain to Ontario and western Quebec will bring rain to eastern Quebec through Wednesday, the Maritimes on Wednesday night and Newfoundland on Thursday.


Across eastern Quebec, 50 to 70 millimeters of rain and strong winds are expected between Wednesday morning and Thursday morning.


40 to 60 mm of rain is possible over the northeastern corner of New Brunswick. Elsewhere across New Brunswick, 15 to 30 mm is possible.


Across western Prince Edward Island, 20 to 30 mm of rain is likely. The eastern half of the Island could get 10 to 20 mm.


Along with gusty winds, rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm are possible across Nova Scotia.


The southwestern corner of Newfoundland will probably get 10 to 20 mm of rain along with strong wind, elsewhere across the Island, 5 to 10 mm is likely.
