An area of low pressure will bring heavy rain and strong winds to northern Ontario today.
Rainfall amounts between 30 and 50 mm are expected. Additionally, winds will gust as high as 80 km/h in northeastern Ontario.
Over northeastern and southern Ontario, there is a risk of thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms from Sudbury to the Quebec border could become severe. These thunderstorms will have the potential to produce strong wind gusts of up to 100 km/h, 2 to 3 cm hail, and possibly a tornado.
