Heavy rain and thunderstorm risk continues in Southern Ontario

Portions of southern Ontario will see more rain today.


Southwestern Ontario and the Greater Golden Horseshoe will see rainfall amounts of 20 to 50 mm.


Areas farther west, such as the Bruce Peninsula, will see lesser amounts with about 10 to 20 mm of rain expected.


There is also a risk of severe thunderstorms.


Thunderstorms are expected to impact the area into this morning in extreme southwestern Ontario. These thunderstorms may be capable of producing wind gusts up to 90 km/h, up to ping pong ball-sized hail and possibly a tornado.


Thunderstorms are also expected this morning in parts of southwestern Ontario. These thunderstorms may be capable of producing wind gusts up to 80 km/h and up to ping pong ball-sized hail.


Isolated thunderstorms are expected elsewhere across Southern Ontario.
