Heavy Rain Bringing Some Relief to Eastern Australia

Some much-needed rain is expected across the east coast of Australia.

Bushfires burning across the state were partially knocked down.

The City of Brisbane got more rain in a day then in the last six months combined.

Brisbane picked up 100 mm of rain and East Brisbane recorded 130 mm.

It wasn't only rain but also strong winds.

The strong winds caused power outages for about 29,000 homes.

There was some minor flooding reported in the State of Queensland.
