Heavy rain is in the forecast today for southeastern Saskatchewan and southwestern Manitoba.
A storm will continue to bring rain to the region today. There is also a slight risk of thunderstorms. This pattern will last until Friday afternoon.
By the time the rain comes to an end, 50 to 80 mm is likely.
Although wildfires are burning in both provinces, there are no fires in the heavy rain area.
Poor air quality will persist today for the Red River valley and parts of the Interlake in Manitoba and western areas of central Saskatchewan. The area remains abnormally dry.
