Heavy rain could cause flooding in parts of northeastern Ontario

Heavy rain is falling across parts of northeastern Ontario near North Channel due to a low pressure system that is tracking northeast into northern Ontario.

Rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm are possible by Monday evening.

Heavy downpours may cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Precipitation will become more widespread as it moves eastward on Thursday.
