Heavy rain event on tap for northeastern Ontario

An area of low pressure will push across northeastern Ontario beginning on Tuesday night.

There is a risk of heavy rain across parts of northeastern Ontario, from Sault Ste. Marie to Kirkland Lake.

In these areas rainfall amounts of 40 to 60 mm are possible. Some locations may see higher amounts.

There is also a risk of thunderstorms.

The rain will come to an end on Wednesday overnight.
