Heavy rain expected across Southeastern Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario

Rainfall associated with an area of low pressure will move across southeastern Manitoba and northwestern Ontario this evening through Sunday and will deliver heavy amounts of rain to the region.

Rain will begin this evening and continue until Sunday evening. Rainfall amounts will range from 50 to 75 mm.

During the heavier rounds of rain, some thunderstorms are possible.

This rain may cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.

The area has been abnormally dry recently, so the rain will help somewhat with that.
