Heavy Rain Expected Across Southern Ontario #ONstorm


Heavy rain is expected to push into Southern Ontario this afternoon. Heavy rain and isolated thunderstorms will last through the evening and Monday.

Today and tonight, rainfall amounts of 25 to 50 millimetres are expected.

Some areas of southwestern Ontario could see some thunderstorms today and tonight. Any thunderstorms that do develop, should be non-severe.

The rain will continue on Monday.

Areas such as the Niagara Peninsula and southern portions of the Golden Horseshoe could receive 40 to 60 millimetres of rain.

25 to 50 millimetres are possible for the shores of Lake Erie.

Elsewhere in southern Ontario amounts of 15 to 25 millimetres are expected.
