Heavy rain expected across southern Quebec and New Brunswick

A developing low will bring some significant rain to parts of southern Quebec and New Brunswick from Tuesday to Thursday.

In Quebec, the Gaspé Peninsula and the North Shore will see the most rain. Rainfall amounts of 40 to 70 mm of rain is possible. Locally amounts could be higher.

Winds will be gusty as well. Some areas, particularly the Gaspé Peninsula and Anticosti Island, could see gusts to 80 km/h.

Western and central New Brunswick will see heavy rain as well. Rainfall amounts between 30 and 60 mm is possible. For southern sections of the province, rainfall amounts could be higher.

Wind gusts to 80 km/h are also expected.
