Heavy Rain Expected For Parts of Atlantic Canada

An area of low pressure will bring unsettled weather to Atlantic Canada beginning on Thursday night.

Rain is expected for all three Maritime provinces.

Rainfall amounts to 5 to 15 mm are expected.

On Friday afternoon, snow will push into western Newfoundland and Labrador. In western Newfoundland, the snow will quickly change to rain.

Rain is expected for Newfoundland, it will be heavy at times.

The heaviest rain will fall along the south coast. Up to 50 mm is possible.

There will also be strong wind with gusts to 100 km/h expected. The winds will diminish on Saturday morning.
