Heavy rain expected on Saturday across Newfoundland and eastern Quebec

It will be a wet Saturday across Newfoundland, the Quebec Lower North Shore, the Gaspe Peninsula, and Anticosti Island.

A low approaching from the south will stall over the area resulting in heavy rain that may cause flooding.

It looks like most of Newfoundland could end up seeing 30 to 70 mm of rain. Up to 100 mm is possible along the south coast.

For the Quebec Lower North Shore, Gaspe Peninsula, and Anticosti Island, rainfall amounts of 30 to 60 mm are expected.
